Wi-Fi Design services
Design Smarter, Faster, Stronger Wi-Fi Networks
Professional WiFi Design Services (Predictive Survey) Using Ekahau!
Great WiFi doesn’t happen by accident — it starts with a solid design plan and the right expertise.
At Karitek International, we help you get it right from the start with our WiFi design services powered by Ekahau AI Pro. Whether you’re setting up a new space or upgrading an existing network, we’ll deliver a smart, predictive design that shows exactly where your access points should go for the best coverage, performance, and reliability. No guesswork, no surprises — just fast, dependable WiFi that works where and when you need it.
Our Methodology: WiFi Design Workflow
We follow a structured, client-driven process to ensure a professional, high-quality deliverable. Every project includes a detailed design report and visual documentation. Below is our typical stepbystep approach:
Steps
1-Requirements gathering from Client
Activity
We collect essential inputs from you: floor plans (CAD, PDF or JPEG), building layout, wall/partition materials, ceilings, window types, and any structural obstructions. We also capture your coverage goals, capacity (user density), device mix, throughput targets, application usage (e.g. video, VoIP, IoT), and SLAs.
Deliverables / Notes
A Project Brief document summarizing scope, constraints, requirements
2-Site visit to review site constraint
Analyze the building layout, wall materials, ceilings, mechanical rooms, elevator shafts, and any planned zones of restricted signal (e.g. secure areas, MRI rooms). We overlay attenuation or loss models for materials (e.g. drywall, concrete, glass, metal) in the virtual model.
Annotated floor plan with material zones, obstruction zones
3-Baseline Predictive modelling
Using Ekahau AI Pro, we import the floor plans and define RF settings: transmit power, antenna types, channel plans, noise floor assumptions, and signal thresholds (e.g. minimum RSSI, SNR). We run an initial predictive design to place APs and simulate coverage, capacity, and performance maps.
Initial heat maps: predicted RSSI, SNR, channel overlap, throughput
4-Fine tuning & optimization
We refine the design by adjusting AP locations, power levels, channel assignments, antenna orientations, and frequency band use (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, 6 GHz) to balance coverage, capacity, and interference. We simulate multiple “what-if” scenarios to ensure robustness.
Final heat maps (coverage, SNR, data rate, co-channel interference), AP layout
5-Validation & sensitivity checks
Though we don’t do physical site surveys in this service, we simulate sensitivity to variations: e.g. slight shifts in AP position, power margins, changes in wall attenuation, or anticipated load increase.
Best case scenario design is finalised
6-Reporting submission
We compile a professional report that includes: executive summary, design methodology, assumptions & constraints, predicted heat maps, AP count & placement, channel & power plan, capacity tables, interference and co-channel metrics, and bill of materials. We also deliver an Ekahau project file for your use and reference.
Final design report (PDF or Doc) and Ekahau project (.esx) files handover.
7-Client review & adjustments
You review the design and provide feedback. We iterate (within agreed rounds) to finetune considering client preferences or newly revealed constraints.
Revised design file and updated report (if needed)
8-Support & Consultation Service
While not part our design (predictive-only) scope, we also offer optional consultancy service (remote) for a fee. The consultancy service will have all recommendations and industry standard implementation tips. It also includes 2 x 1-hour remote sessions with Technical expert for one-on-one consultancy (to answer queries about AP placement, cabling, design clarifications etc.)
On-demand email/phone support, design FAQs
